Mascot

“Sarge” is the official mascot of the Chicago Slaughter. He has been with the team since their inaugural season in 2007.
Watch for Sarge on the concourse before the action begins, in the stands interacting with fans during the game and on the field signing autographs once the game is over.
Our fans often ask…so here are the answers:
How did Sarge get his nickname?
He took the nickname to show tribute to the great men and women in the Armed Forces.
Where is Sarge from?
He comes from “parts unknown” but currently lives in the greater Chicago area.
Why does Sarge wear the number “76”?
He wears the number “76” as his favorite football idol and current Chicago Slaughter head coach, Steve McMichael, wore the same number when he played with the Bears.
Would you like to have Sarge at your next social gathering, school event or corporate function? For appearance requests, please contact the front office at (847) 310-3190.
