Pistorio Back With The Chicago Slaughter

In the wake of an incredible 14-0 season that saw the Chicago Slaughter win the CIFL Championship, the Slaughter continue to stay busy with off season signings.  The most recent signing is the return of offensive coordinator Pat Pistorio.  During the 2009 season, the Pistorio led Slaughter offense, averaged a league leading 65 points per game.

While players like Michna, Morgan, Sippio, Jackson and the rest certainly made Pistorio’s job easier, there is no denying his contribution, knowledge and success thus far.  Pat has been with the Slaughter, since they started in 2007, when he came on as the wide receivers coach.  During the 2007 season, Pistorio was promoted to offensive coordinator about midway through the season and has never looked back.  Within the 3 seasons that Pistorio has run the offense, the Slaughter has boasted a top three offense during all those years.

The 2009 Slaughter offense, not only averaged the previously mentioned 65 points per game, but broke many league records for both team and individual play.  Records that were broken in 2009 include passing yards, total offensive yards, passing touchdowns and completions.  Coach Pistorio started his coaching career in 1998, where he was an offensive student assistant with Southern Illinois University.  In 2003 Pistorio took on the job as wide receivers coach with Larkin High School, before moving onto a job as the offensive coordinator for South Elgin High School in 2004 and 2005.

In 2006, Pat started his college coaching career, taking on the job of wide receivers coach, at Lake Forest.  Pistorio still coaches for Lake Forest, while also coaching for the Chicago Slaughter.  “I am extremely happy to have coach Pistorio back on board for 2010.  Pat’s dedication, work ethic, organization and knowledge of the game is second to none”, said Slaughter GM Alan Perkins. Season tickets for the 2010 season for The Chicago Slaughter went sale to the general public on October 1, 2009.  Full season ticket packages start as low as $48.
