Slaughter Trail Green Bay at Halftime

Hoffman Estates, IL - At halftime, the Chicago Slaughter (4-5) are currently trailing the Green Bay Blizzard (7-2) 30-25 at the Sears Centre Arena.  Slaughter QB Randy Hutchison leads the Chicago attack, as he finished the half 8-16 for 87 yards and two touchdowns.  RB Jarrett Payton has two touchdowns in the game: one rushing and one receiving.
 
Green Bay took the opening face-off all the way down to the Slaughter five-yard line, the drive stalled and K Tino Amancio missed a 30-yard field goal to keep the team off the scoreboard.  However, Blizzard 33 Maurice Simpkins intercepted a Hutchison pass and returned it 15 yards for a touchdown to make the score 7-0 Blizzard.  The Slaughter responded right away, as Hutchison found Payton wide open along the sideline for a 47-yard reception to draw the Slaughter to 7-6.  Green Bay recovered a Slaughter onside kick, and RB Randy Bell scored on a 1-yard touchdown to extend their lead to 13-6.  Chicago responded with a 44-yard pass from Hutchison to WR DeíCody Fagg to the Green Bay 3-yard line.  After a penalty, WR Reggie Gray hauled in a 10-yard touchdown pass to tie the score at 13 at the end of the\first quarter.

HOFFMAN ESTATES – The Chicago Slaughter (4-5), the premier indoor football team in the Chicagoland area, will host division rival Green Bay Blizzard (7-2) this Saturday evening at the Sears Centre Arena for the second of three meetings scheduled for the 2010 season. The Slaughter beat Green Bay on the road earlier this month and are seeking to secure a second victory at home. The Slaughter is currently in third place in the Central North Division behind the Bloomington Extreme (5-4) and the first place Blizzard.  With just five games remaining in the regular season, the Slaughter remains focused on pulling ahead and securing a spot in the playoffs.Read more

Chicago Slaughter Overwhelms Opponent in 71-29 Victory

HOFFMAN ESTATES - The Chicago Slaughter (3-3) overwhelmed the Kent Predators (3-4) with a final score of 71-29 at the Sears Centre Arena in front of a packed crowd of 5,789 fans on Saturday night. Key Slaughter player maneuvers earlier in the week proved instrumental in the lopsided victory as WR Reggie Gray returned to the team catching five passes for 120 yards and scoring three touchdowns. Gray was a member of the 2009 Slaughter championship team.  RB Jarrett Payton ran the ball five times for 57 yards and one touchdown, while adding another score on a ten-yard touchdown reception.  DB Chris Rodgers returned an interception for a score, and DB Dennison Robinson picked up his fifth interception of the season. Both Slaughter Quarterbacks led the high-flying offense with  Randy Hutchison throwing for three touchdowns and backup QB Tavares Woodley adding three touchdowns of his own (one passing and two rushing).
 
The Slaughter came alive in the second quarter after the defense sacked Kent QB Charles McCallum in end zone scoring a safety. Payton picked up his second score of the game as he ran four yards for a score.  Chicago then recovered an onside kick and scored on the next play with a Reggie Gray 44 yard touchdown on a halfback option pass from backup QB Tavares Woodley.Read more

Hoffman Estates, IL – The Chicago Slaughter (2-3) currently leads the Kent Predators at halftime 40-17 on Saturday night.  RB Jarrett Payton began the scoring, as he made hooked up with QB Randy Hutchison on a 15-yard completion to make the score 6-0.  After the teams traded field goals, Kent scored on a quarterback sneak to put Kent up 10-9.   That’s when the Slaughter came alive.
 
The Slaughter defense got down to business and picked up a safety as Kent QB Charles McCallum was tackled in the end zone to make the score 11-10.  On the ensuing Slaughter drive, Payton picked up his second touchdown of the game, with a four-yard touchdown run.  That made the score 19-10 after a two-point conversion.  The Slaughter then recovered an onside kick, and scored on a Reggie Gray 44 yard touchdown on a halfback option pass from backup QB Tavares Woodley.  The very next Kent possession, DB Chris Rodgers picked off a McCallum pass and returned it 37 yards for a touchdown to put the Slaughter up 33-10.  Recently signed Reggie Gray, a member of the 2009 championship Slaughter team,  capped the Slaughter first half scoring with a 27-yard touchdown pass from Hutchinson to make the score 40-10.Read more

Chicago Slaughter To Host Kent Predators

Secretary of State Jesse White to Participate in Coin Toss Ceremonies;
'Operation Click' Gives Away 6 Cars To Participating Students During Halftime

CHICAGO - The Chicago Slaughter (2-3), the premier indoor football team in the Chicagoland area, will host the Kent Predators (3-3) this Saturday, April 24th at the Sears Centre Arena. Saturday evening's game will be the first meeting of these two teams.  The Slaughter is coming off of a bye week following back to back wins while the Predators have battled back from a dismal 0-3 start to their season winning their last three consecutive match-ups. Both of these teams will be looking to end the other's winning streak in this weekend's heated contest. 

Secretary of State Jesse White will be in attendance to participate in the coin toss ceremonies as well as address area high school students as part of the special "Operation Click" half-time event.  Six (6) cars will be given away to select students from participating area high schools.
